Welcome to my blog! I am so excited and a little nervous about this whole blogging thing….I have always hesitated blogging because I do not consider myself a writer. But I am a talker! I love talking! I love conversation! I love asking questions and I love hearing peoples stories. So this will be a place where I can share my personal stories as well as stories that have been shared with me. This first blog entry has been a lot harder than I thought it would be. It kind of feels like walking on a huge stage and having hundreds of eyeballs staring back at me. So here goes nothing….
I have a hard time introducing myself as anything other than a mom to some pretty amazing humans. They are what inspires me. They are what I am the most proud of. I have many failed endeavors and many failures as a person, wife, and mom but raising them has given me more wins in life than those failures. They are what brings me the most joy and have grown my heart in so many ways. I see the world differently because of them. I try to be better because of them.
I prayed hard for them, but was told by doctors that I may never conceive, and then that I may never carry long enough to see them full term. I believed them for a while. I almost died giving birth to Bella and was on full bedrest and progesterone because several times I was close to miscarriage with Blake. But surprisingly they both were born with no major complications! Most moms will tell you they do not know what life was like before kids, and I feel the same way. As cliche as it may sound, I feel like that is really when I found purpose or felt a purpose. This also began my early obsession of documenting and eventually how I came to naming my business after them. Bella comes from her first name and Luca from Blakes middle name. Bella Luca means beautiful light. They have been a constant reminder of even when life feels too heavy to bear, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, and only God can create something beautiful out of a pretty ugly mess.
So if you made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read! I hope you can feel just a little part of my heart. If you somehow landed on my blog and you personally dont know me, and would like to know more, feel free to send me your questions and I hope we can get better acquainted! If you do already know me and are here to support me, thank you! I seriously couldn’t do this without so many people believing in me. And last but not least, the biggest thank you to my amazing husband for holding the fort down during the creation of this whole website/blog, making sure I slept a minimum of 4-5 hours, when half the time he was also working 12 hour days and 7 days straight! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! – much love Yesi
